RMKS/1. This advisory is being issued in a accordance with ref A
regarding Imminent Danger Pay (IDP) recertification for the following
countries and areas effective 21 April 2020:
.Algeria, Burundi, Cameroon (North and Far North Regions only), Chad,
Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali,
Niger, and Uganda.
. The five land areas and airspace above Libya, Somalia, Sudan, South
Sudan, and Tunisia.
. The sea area of the Somalia Basin.
. The six land areas of Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan, Yemen, and
Egypt.
. The three land areas and airspace above Afghanistan, Iraq, and
Syria.
. The two land areas of Azerbaijan and Israel.
. The land area of Turkey, excluding the city of Izmir, the Turkish
Straits (that is, the Dardanelles, the Sea of Marmara, and the
Bosporus Straits).
. The land area and airspace above Kosovo.
. The sea area of the Mediterranean Sea
. The provinces of Central Sulawesi and Papua, Indonesia.
. The state of Sabah, Malaysia.
. The land area of the Island of Mindanao and Sulu Archipelago,
Philippines.
. The two land areas of Colombia and the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
Detention Facility.
2. Effective 01 June 2020, the designation of the following locations
as imminent danger areas for IDP purposes is discontinued:
. The two land areas of Cote d'Ivoire and Eritrea. In Indonesia, the
City of Jakarta, the provinces of Central Java and East Kalimantan,
and the region of Aceh.
3. Effective 01 June 2020, the Hardship Duty Pay-Location (HDP-L)
monthly rate in Cote d'Ivoire and Eritrea is increased to $150. For
Indonesia, the HDP-L monthly rate in the City of Jakarta, the
Provinces of Central Java and East Kalimantan, and the region
of Aceh is increased to $150.
4. Updates to the Defense Financial Management Regulations
(DoDFMR) Vol 7A will show in the near future.
